My irritation starts to increase whenever I see an article about pit bulls causing some sort of problem. Although I cannot confirm my guess, I believe that pit bulls get singled out very easily as being news when something bad happens. You really don’t hear about other dogs attacking because other breeds have not been popularized as being aggressive animals.

I believe part of the problem with media getting on the bandwagon every time to publicize pit bulls doing something wrong has come from the responsible owners that have mistreated pitbull dogs in some way. This treatment can include purposely fighting them with other dogs, not controlling the dogs sufficiently, not bringing up the dogs properly as a pack leader should, etc… and so on. A series of stories gets a lot of publicity and then the whole breed gets easily blamed. It’s too bad that everyone has seemed to get on the bandwagon.

I believe this article to be fair on both sides… that has acknowledged in both the bad and good in this breed. It’s also good to have various websites like this pit bull dogs website. We definitely need information to be provided that can offer a definite good side of this breed of pitbull’s because I think they always get an exaggerated bad rap that many people seem to get obsessed about… which they add fuel to later to make it even worse.
