For anyone that happens to be interested in pit bulls, there will be a show tomorrow night… Friday night which is named “Dogtown”. It will be appearing on the National Geographic Channel. Apparently, they are going to be letting viewers watch the recouping of the pit bulls that were found at the Michael Vick estate. There seems to be many of these pit bulls from what I saw on the advertisement.

by going to the Dogtown website, I found that this will actually be a series. I’m assuming that it will be a series showing how the dogs will be rehabilitated to eventually be adopted by dog lovers.

This program I think will be especially important for those people that think all pit bulls are bad… especially pit bulls that have been mistreated in the past. Most people’s first response to a problematic pitbull is to put it down. If you have ever watched The Dog Whisperer you will know that red zone case dogs don’t have to be put to sleep. They can be saved if professionals are involved… or someone that helps knows what they’re doing.

Appropriately enough, this program will be placed right after one of my favorite shows, Dog Whisperer. I wonder if Cesar Milan had anything to do with this show coming about. Maybe he will help out at some point with these dogs to rehabilitate them. I am sure he will be also interested in how the show helps viewers see and believe that pit bulls can be very good pets. Maybe they will understand that it is the previous and/or current owners (whatever the case may be) that should be disciplined because they will have been the ones that have likely allowed or encouraged the pit bulls ugly character to be developed.
