By the way, while I am here… I wanted to mention something about that Dogtown show. I did catch some of them… the reason I say I caught only some of it is because after watching the first part, I did not want to watch anymore.

I do respect their obvious desire for helping these dogs. This action is obviously very laudable. I am sure that most of those dogs will be successfully rehabilitated hopefully for possible adoption. I realize that it will take a lot of work to successfully complete this rehabilitation for those dogs.

However, I was really turned off by the show. It had too much of a “feel-good” feel to it. At first I really could not put my finger on the reason for why I felt that way. Eventually I think I found the reason. The way the show was produced turned me off. They always had that “feel-good music” especially during the beginning. They never once had no music. Near the middle of of the show, they did change the music feeling a little bit but I guess not enough for me.

It’s amazing how music can really affect a TV show. Let’s talk about the show, Dog Whisperer. I believe this show to be produced very well. The videography and music goes together as it should. Dogtown simply doesn’t even compete with the production value of the Dog Whisperer. Hopefully Dogtown will improve as time goes on. Otherwise, I’m guessing that this show will not last.

The main thing I think holds a lot of value for this show is publicity for pit bulls. If Dogtown is successful at rehabilitating these pit bulls, hopefully viewers will see that the pit bulls should not be to blame. The owners of the pit bull’s are the ones that should hold all the blame for any problems the dogs cause. Not everyone should be allowed to have a pitbull. I also think the same about other big and powerful dogs….even small dogs. Many people just don’t know how to effectively be the leader of a dog. Too many people humanize them as being their babies or children when they definitely are not.
